Cathrine originally hails from the UK but she has happily called Sydney home since 2000, and is an accomplished Publicist by day, and an ‘apprentice’ Novelist by night. Cathrine has spent the past 18 years working across a variety of entertainment companies including, Sony Music, Channel 9 and the National Rugby League. Nowadays you can find her at Nova Entertainment where she is Senior Publicist as for the Fitzy & Wippa breakfast show, a role she loves.
While professionally immersed in the entertainment industry, it is an energetic nine year old called Louis, who is the centre of her universe.
Cathrine came into Cooper’s life at a time when he needed a breath of fresh air. He immediately gravitated to her fresh, no nonsense approach to life, to her warmth, and genuine caring nature. He saw her as a force of nature.
“On my fridge door along with a postcard from my parents and two school certificates for my sporty 9 year old son you will also find a beautiful photo of Coops. He beams at me every morning when I reach for my milk. He inspires me every single day.
While Cooper was only in my life for a short time he had a huge impact on me. He had such a zest for life and wonderful and often very funny take on the world. I have no doubt he would have achieved all the things in his life he set out to do and would have been a success on the sports field or just as equally in the board room.
You realise just how precious life is when you see it taken away from someone so young that you love. I am honoured to be part of Coops legacy and to help in any way I can to help raise funds and awareness to search for a cure and to stop this disease in its tracks.”
